Rosé wines: the best Italian companies present in Rome for Bererosa, a new way of drinking

Hundreds of prestigious companies with their best still and moved labels will be the protagonists in Rome on Thursday 7 July of Bererosa, the largest event dedicated to rosé wines in Italy organized by Cucina&Vini. In the evocative atmosphere of the ancient Villa Appia Antica, among centuries-old trees and the ruins of Ancient Rome, the many rosé wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge thanks to the event created by Cucina & Vini and now in its eleventh edition to raise awareness the wine-loving public by accompanying them towards a more careful and sophisticated analysis of the pink wines, often not yet considered at the level of whites and reds.

“We started on tiptoe in 2011 – he says Francesco D'Agostino, director of Cucina & Vini – when, after having published two editions of Rosati d'Italia, a guide dedicated to the best rosé wines of the country, we understood that it was not yet possible to speak of rosés as whites or reds, but it was first necessary make them known and bring them to the public. Eleven years later, we at Cucina & Vini can say that we have made an important contribution to this sector, increasing consumer awareness and sensitivity towards the pink world, which has the same prerogatives as any type of wine in Italy".

Rosé wines are conquering more and more of the market, and now vintage wines are also appreciated

Like every year, Bererosa takes place with the Walk Around Tasting formula, which allows the public to taste labels of absolute value by strolling freely in the enchanting Villa Appia Antica. It will also be possible to combine pink wines with the more than ample offer of street food present in Bererosa.

“One of the main objectives of Bererosa – concludes D'Agostino – has always been to make enthusiasts and operators of the sector understand the incredible versatility and nuances of rosé wines, even after a few years of refinement. Even more than the whites, the unfounded belief that they should be consumed in the summer following the harvest. This is the theme we will be working on in the near future: during the summer you will find on our website www.cucinaevini.it the report of the tasting of still rosés from previous harvests. Not only that, we will also publish the production data of Italian rosé wine for 2021, which is still being processed today".

Partner of the event is the French company Diam Bouchage, world leader in the production of technical cork stoppers.
