The second edition of VIDEOART WEEK is back from 19 to 27 November 2019 in Rome involving museums, foreign academies, foundations and contemporary art galleries.

Rome returns to being the world capital of cinema, with an art program that will show the work of 80 artists in nine days of programming for the Italian VideoArt Week, the section of VIDEOCITTÀ dedicated to contemporary art curated by Damiana Leoni and Lorena Stamo.

Appointments and meetings with artists, curators and art critics such as Sophie Lauwers, Alessandra Mammì, Vittoria Matarrese, Bartolomeo Pietromarchi and Davide Quadrio, by appointment at MAXXI | National Museum of XNUMXst Century Arts which will host the main program in the two rooms dedicated to the moving image, the Videogallery and the Auditorium with: Garrett Bradley, Chris Burden, Jos de Gruyter & Harald Thys, Daniele Puppi, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Nico Vascellari and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

Elisabetta Benassi, Filippo Berta, Julien Bismuth, Carola Bonfili, Martin Creed, Iginio De Luca, Gabriele De Santis, Antonio Della Guardia, Matteo Fato, Marianna Ferratto, Valentina Furian, Benjamin Hirte, Karen Kilimnik, Emiliano Maggi, Luís Lázaro Matos, Elena Maggi Mazzi, Rachel Monosov, Iris Nesher, Ekaterina Pianikova, Ruth Proctor, Augustin Rebetez, Alice Ronchi, Joan Ross, Mai Yamashita & Naoto Kobayashi, Andrea Zittel are the artists in the KIZART review curated by Raffaella Frascarelli for the Nomas Foundation.

With the collaboration of foreign academies, the American Academy in Rome, the Real Academia de España in Rome, the Belgian Academy, the Swiss Institute, private foundations such as the Giuliani Foundation for Contemporary Art, the VOLUME Foundation!, the Fondazione , Pastificio Cerere Foundation and Nomas Foundation; of the academic spaces of RUFA - Rome University of Fine Arts and the non-profit spaces of the Untitled Association, a whole series of collateral events will involve the capital.

But she too will participate in contemporary art galleries with projects designed to make use of the most innovative works created with the video medium. Among these: Galleria Alessandra Bonomo, Galleria Valentina Bonomo, Ex Elettrofonica, Gilda Lavia, Monitor, Operativa Arte Contemporanea, The Gallery Apart, Z20 Sara Zanin.

VIDEOCITTÀ's VideoArt Week sees the special collaboration of: Gagosian, Gavin Brown's enterprise, neugerriemschneider and Studio Stefania Miscetti.
