Skip the sale of Intermobiliare by Veneto Bank to the Bsi of Lugano. The Italian bank announces in a press release that it has received indications from Banca Svizzera Italiana regarding "the impossibility, at the moment, to define certain times for the continuation of discussions for the possible transaction relating to Intermobiliare Bank".
Veneto Banca then specifies that BSI, while confirming the strategic interest in the operation, and wishing to leave the dialogue with Veneto Banca open, "does not currently believe it can request a further extension of the exclusivity period".
The Board of Directors of Veneto Banca has therefore decided to "restart contacts with other potential buyers, both nationally and internationally".
