Starting today at 10.00, the Veneto Banca management center hosts the conference on the Women and the Future Project. Personalities from the world of local and national credit were expected, women from banks and businesses, professionals and journalists. Godmother of the meeting, Anna Maria Tarantola. What was and what is the contribution of women to the development of the economy, businesses and professions? What is their role in the challenges that the Italian banking system has faced and is preparing to face with regard to asset management, credit, controls, the adoption of new regulations, the inclusion of younger generations and career opportunities ?
These are the issues that will be addressed by the conference "Italian banks: the contribution of women to the challenges of the future", scheduled for today, 26 February, from 10 to 18.30, in the auditorium of the Veneto Banca headquarters, near Montebelluna. The meeting stems from the collaboration between Veneto Banca and Progetto Donne e Futuro, an initiative conceived and conducted by the lawyer Cristina Rossello, Vice President of the Institute, as a starting point for reflection on the contribution of women in the economy. “The guests who will honor us with their presence – explains the lawyer Rossello – are exponents of the national level of the world of credit, businesses and professions, who will compete in round tables moderated by experts in the banking sector, whose rapid changes the conference is in progress". “The godmother of the event – reports Rossello – will be Anna Maria Tarantola, former Manager of the Bank of Italy and President of RAI, who will hand over the scholarships allocated by the Women and the Future Project to promising new graduates and new professionals”. "I strongly wanted the annual Project appointment to be held in the Veneto Banca headquarters - underlines the lawyer Rossello - because also thanks to initiatives of this type, the Institute can and must return to being a protagonist not only economically, but also social and cultural aspects of one's chosen territory, as envisaged in the 2016-2020 business plan approved by the Board of Directors". The Women and the Future Project annually organizes wide-ranging events, capable of attracting leading personalities from the world of culture, economics and business. The purpose of the project is the ennobling of female excellence, to favor the achievement of equal opportunities and promote the image of women who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields of activity. The Project is strongly committed to rewarding young talents who deserve the opportunity for rapid and facilitated entry into the world of work through the recognition of scholarships and the start of a tutoring and mentoring process. In the last seven years, the conferences of Progetto Donne e Futuro have obtained the high recognition of the President of the Republic.
