In the United States, the index relating to compromises for the purchase of non-new homes (Pending Home sales) fell by 4,6% in September compared to August. The data is worse than the estimates of economists, who expected a drop of 0,9%.
This is an index released by the National Association of Realtors which measures the trend of sales contracts that have already been signed but not yet concluded and represents an important indicator of the economic situation. Compared to a year earlier, the index increased by 6,4% in September.
