Unicredit subscribes to 1 million euro minibonds issued by Freeda, AG Digital Media

Unicredit has fully subscribed a 1 million euro mini-bond guaranteed by the Central Guarantee Fund. This is the last operation of AG Digital Media, a Milanese scale-up founded in 2016 which has already raised over 27 million euros on the market to finance its expansion in Italy and abroad.

Working on social media like Freeda, as well as in Italy also in the UK, Spain and South America, distributes original content online, dealing with the issues of inclusion and diversity.

With the support of Unicredit, AG Digital Media intends consolidate the development of Freeda Platform, the recently launched marketing and creativity platform for fashion, food, entertainment, cosmetics brands, and strengthen the commitment to sustainability, continuing on the path undertaken with NATIVA, which supported Freeda as Sustainability Operation advisor.

"We are very happy to support sustainability projects and consolidate our relationship with an innovative partner like Freeda with whom we already structured a minibond just over a year ago" - he said Marco Bortoletti, Lombardy Regional Manager of Unicredit .“Through the minibond instrument, a segment in which UniCredit is the leader in Italy, we mobilize important resources in favor of Italian and Lombardy SMEs, encouraging and facilitating the transition of our entrepreneurial system towards alternative forms of investment financing. The numbers in Lombardy are gratifying, as evidenced by the approximately 130 million euros in terms of total volumes underlying the issues of this capital market instrument by 23 Lombard companies".

“Freeda is a constantly evolving world thanks to constant listening to the community and businesses, through technology. The support of solid partners such as UniCredit is essential for strengthening our infrastructure – I am thinking in particular of the Freeda Platform which offers brands an innovative tool for speaking directly to younger targets – but also for not losing sight of essential objectives for a balanced and inclusive growth,” he said Andrea Scotti Calderini, Co-Founder and CEO of Freeda.
