Unicredit won the award for best transactional services provider in Western Europe. The recognition came as part of The Banker's annual Transaction Banking Awards.
The topic of digitization was decisive for the awarding of the prize. Unicredit has surpassed the competition thanks to its integrated approach, which includes, for example, cooperation with fintechs on specific solutions, such as dynamic discounting, industry-wide collaboration on projects such as instant payments, SWIFT gpi and we.trade, the simultaneous development of proprietary technologies, such as the Trade Finance Gate digital platform made available to customers. The Bank has invested 1,7 billion euros in corporate information systems as part of the Transform 2019 strategic plan.
