UniCredit launches PNRR Solutions to finance the investments of SMEs participating in the tenders of the Plan

The offer also includes loans to facilitate the execution of the tenders of the PNRR and face the increases related to the costs of raw materials

UniCredit launches PNRR Solutions to finance the investments of SMEs participating in the tenders of the Plan

UniCredit lancia PNRR Solutions, a range of financial and advisory solutions to support the participation of Italian SMEs ai tenders of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, also with the additional liquidity necessary to face the increases related to the costs of raw materials and facilitate the execution of the Hospitalization Plan.

"With PNRR Solutions we want to provide, in particular to the SMEs involved in the tenders, a range of concrete solutions both on a financial and consultative level, supporting them in accessing European funds and in the realization of their innovative and sustainable investment projects", he underlined Remo Taricans, deputy head of UniCredit Italy.

PNRR Solutions by UniCredit: how it works

With PNRR Solutions, SMEs that access European funds as part of the projects of the Plan will be able to access solutions such as:

  • medium-long term financing, at competitive rates, aimed at integrating government contributions for the realization of investments linked to the PNRR, in a context such as the current one characterized by an unprecedented cycle of increases in energy and raw material costs;
  • advance contracts/invoices PNRR for the disposal of receivables for contracts and invoices linked to works connected to PNRR initiatives/investments;
  • instrumental leasing for the acquisition, with related tax benefits provided for by the PNRR, of machinery, equipment and plants functional to the industrial, craft, commercial and service sectors;
  • bank guarantees necessary for participation in the PNRR tenders or to receive in advance the share of the non-refundable grant for the planned works.

In addition to financial support, the package also makes available to businesses:

  • partnerships with leading operators in the subsidized finance sector: UniCredit provides customers with a database of calls for tenders issued by the Public Administration, as well as a set of information and a consultancy service for accessing various European, national and regional subsidy measures, not only based on the PNRR, but also relating to the various Structural and Investment Funds;
  • partnership with Microsoft Italia for the digitization of SMEs: UniCredit accompanies and promotes the digitization processes of Italian SMEs with "Together4Digital", an initiative resulting from an agreement with Microsoft Italy aimed at making financial resources, skills and digital tools available to companies for sustainable economic growth;
  • offer dedicated to tourism and agribusiness (Made4Italy): UniCredit allocates a new ceiling of 5 billion euros for Italian companies in the tourism and agriculture sectors in the three-year period 2022-2024. In line with the objectives of the PNRR, the strategic guidelines of the new edition of "Made4Italy" provide for support for projects that enhance the sustainability profile of companies, including the revitalization and energy requalification of the country's accommodation facilities and support for the transition digital.

The first three companies that participated in the UniCredit project

The initiative was inaugurated by three Italian companies which received financial support to access tenders PNRR:

  • CP Technology, a company specializing in the design of formwork for ashlars and carousel systems, also active in the viaduct and bridge sector, which received a guarantee for the construction of railway tunnels as part of the PNRR works on the Naples-Bari high-speed section (Hirpinia-Orsara section );
  • Geosynthesis, a company specializing in railway services, which received two sureties for participation in the PNRR tenders called by RFI for the control of adversity and the containment of weeds through a vegetation recognition system that develops a predictive maintenance method along the regional railway lines;
  • IS extension., a company active in the plant engineering, applied safety and automation sector, which has received guarantees for participation in PNRR tenders for the digitization (local, wired and wireless networks) of two schools in the area, the Borgomanero Comprehensive Institute and the "Gianni Rodari" comprehensive school in Omegna.
