500 thousand Euros to support non-profit organizations that promote youth employment in Italy.

UniCredit Foundation launches the new edition of the UniCredit Carta E Call to support non-profit organizations that promote youth employment in Italy through social entrepreneurship activities. As in the previous edition, the collaboration with the Make a Cube3 incubator is back, dedicating a period of support to the selected teams to enhance their value on the market.

The investment envisaged by the tender is 500 euros which will be disbursed in the form of grants, mentoring and incubation. The funds are made available thanks to UniCreditCard Flexia Classic Etica, the credit card which, at no additional cost to the holder, sets aside 2 per thousand of every expense made to support solidarity projects.

Applications can be submitted, through the IdeaTRE60 platform promoted by the Accenture Italia Foundation, technical partner of the Call, from 11 October to 20 December 2017 by filling in the form and explaining your idea of social change to fight unemployment, which mainly affects young Italians.

The 20 realities capable of interpreting the territorial context in which the entrepreneurial project must be born and grow will be selected. In pole position will be the proposals that will have as a priority the creation of a lasting, sustainable and reliable program both for the workers hired and for the company itself. The 20 finalists will have access to a pre-incubation phase.

The incubation and disbursement of grants, amounting to 42.500 euros each, is intended instead for the 10 winners: 7 of these projects will have to demonstrate that they have a direct impact, i.e. create employment as part of the entrepreneurial program supported in the 7 territorial areas of UniCredit intervention in Italy; the other 3, on the other hand, must be capable of generating an indirect impact, capable of developing actions, infrastructures and networks that can strengthen the capacity of one or more social entrepreneurial realities to achieve results on a national scale: it is a question, for example , assistance and incubation activities for social enterprises, training/development of networks of social enterprises, social franchising, etc…

“We want to give young people the opportunity to express their idea of work - declared Maurizio Carrara, President of UniCredit Foundation - by enhancing entrepreneurial projects capable of creating employment. Young people represent our future and, thanks to their enthusiasm and skills, they can find the solution to the challenge of youth employment in our country on their own, combining, in the same figure, both the role of employer and worker".
