Unicredit, Ghizzoni: funding is ok

No collection problems for Unicredit. Word of Federico Ghizzoni, managing director of the group. "Funding is in order for us - assured the manager - It is clear that the market is more asphyxiated than in recent months, but we defend ourselves well".

Ghizzoni then said that he did not expect credit crunch phenomena: “It will not be a 'freeze', in the sense that the banks have not decided to close the credit. Quite the contrary, the banks are trying to do their best. It is obvious that in such a tumultuous moment there are signals of waiting from customers, therefore there is less demand for credit”.

The CEO of Unicredit hoped that this would be a "temporary" phenomenon and reiterated that "there is no intention on the part of the banks to act on their own initiative. Instead, we are trying to convince customers to take credit and continue with their investments, even if it is obvious that there is a moment of waiting on their part to understand what they have to do”.
