Ubi completes transfer of non-performing leases

UBI Banca has completed the disposal of the portfolio of non-performing leasing positions announced on 22nd July last and already partially completed and included in the results as at 30th September 2019. The bank itself announced this in a note.

Following the sale, the pro-forma ratio of gross non-performing loans drops to approximately 8,2% on the data as at 30 September 2019. The calculation also includes the recently completed sale of non-performing residential mortgages, 

"The sale of the second tranche of non-performing leases will not produce further negative effects on the income statement compared to 30th September 2019", UBI announced. On the financial front, we also recall that on Tuesday 18th November, the bank announced that it had repaid one billion TLTRO II (for the residual nominal 8,5 billion euro maturing on 24 June 2020). Thanks to this transaction, the total residual exposure to TLTRO II amounts to 10 billion, including the nominal 2,5 billion maturing on 24 March 2021.
