Trenitalia changes reservations. Ryanair and British: stop to flights

The Trenitalia runs for cover in the face of an emergency coronavirus and it does so by modifying the seat reservation system on board the Frecce. The goal is to ensure that a safety distance of at least one meter is maintained between passengers, so as to minimize the risk of contagion.

Previously, Trenitalia had already launched other measures: "Enhancement of sanitation and disinfection of trains and workplaces, reducing the time intervals between one cleaning session and the next - reads the note from the FS group company - installation of hand sanitizer dispensers on board the trains and establishment of a task force to ensure the coordination of the interventions established by government provisions".

News also coming from the airlines. Ryanair, after suspending 25% of its routes in recent days, announced on Tuesday the cancellation of all international flights to and from Italy until April 9 starting from Saturday.

Same decision also by the British Airways, which announced the halt of all flights to and from Italy. On the same line the British low cost Jet2, which has suspended all connections between minor airports in England and our country until 26 April.

as to Spain, According to El Pais, the MAdrid government has decided to ban direct flights between Italy and Spanish airports from midnight today until 25 March. Ditto Austria to and from Italy.

Delta Airlines suspended the connection between Atlanta and Rome from 11 March to 30 April. The resumption of the seasonal flight from Detroit-Rome is also postponed from April 20st to May 21st. The suspension of flights from New York to Milan Malpensa and Venice extends until May 5 and XNUMX respectively.
