This was proclaimed by the unions (Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Faisa Cisal and Ugl Autoferro) "in consideration of the violent and repeated attacks on drivers, inspectors, station masters, ferry and vaporetto workers, recorded throughout the national territory in recent months ”, reads the communication sent to the relevant bodies. After last Friday's protest by railway staff, another complicated day is shaping up for commuters.

"We go on strike - explain the trade union organizations in a note - faced with an intolerable situation that needs to be addressed immediately. To date, no interventions have been recorded a personnel protection by employers and not even by the legislator with specific measures aimed at preventing and discouraging aggressions to public transport personnel. Immediate measures are needed - the unions ask - in the absence of which we will continue to forcefully claim the protection of workers and workers of local public transport ".

The workers' organizations will communicate to the companies and to the entitled subjects the mode of the strike by and no later than 14 September 2022.
