ECB filter: 13 billion to Italian banks, 5 to Intesa

In second position is Banco Popolare with 3,2 billion – followed by Mps (1,25), Credem (1,015), Bpm (1 billion), Veneto Banca (614 million), Popolare di Vicenza (600) and Mediobanca (400 ).

Today European Central Bank held the fourth auction More managing to place 73,8 billion euros, of which 13,08 went to the main Italian credit institutions. It was she who raked in the most money Intesa Sanpaolo, which requested and obtained 5 billion, bringing the total amount collected with the TLTROs in 2015 to 15 billion (after 12,6 in 2014). 

In second position is the Banco Popolare with 3,2 billion. They follow Ps (1,25) believe (1,015) bpm (1 billion), Veneto Bank (614 million), People of Vicenza (600) and Mediobanca (400). UniCredit, Ubi Banca, Bper, Carige, Creval and Popolare di Sondrio did not participate in the auction.

The "Targeted long-term refinancing operations” (Targeted and long-term refinancing operations) are the instrument used by the ECB to lend low-cost liquidity to banks in the Eurozone, provided that they undertake to use the resources thus obtained to finance households and businesses.

The figure placed today exceeds the expected 50 billion euros, but it is decidedly lower than the result obtained with the third auction, when the ECB had disbursed 97,8 billion euros to 143 banks in the Eurozone, a figure which was also lower than the auction in December (129,8 billion). 

In the three previous operations, the ECB injected a total of 311 billion and about 30% of this sum went to Italian institutions, 93 billion, of which 36 in the March offer alone.
