Tiscali: Costamagna and Soru bring it back to Italy

On the roof of Tiscali, the first Internet company founded twenty years ago in Italy by Renato Soru and ended up in Russian hands in recent years, the Italian flag flies again. The investment banker and former president of Cdp, Claudio Costamagna took over 22% of it, buying it mostly from Ict Holding Ltd (20,7%) and to a lesser extent (1,26%) from Sova Disciplined Equity Fund SPC.

But the double purchase of Costamagna, which entered the capital of Tiscali in a consortium with two top managers of the tcls such as Alberto Trondoli and Manilo Morocco, allowed Tiscali to turn around and return to Italian thanks to the management agreement signed with Soru himself, which holds 7,94% of the Sardinian company.

Full satisfaction was expressed by the unions above all because, after ups and downs, Tiscali is seeing a strong relaunch not only financially but industrially especially in the field of new services with higher added value.

The Stock Exchange is toasting Tiscali's turnaround in Italy as yesterday, on a day of general weakness in the stock market, Tiscali rose by 2,17r5, which allowed the stock to reach a capitalization of 33 million.

Before Tiscali, in recent weeks Costamagna had completed the entry, again in partnership with other shareholders of the Caio and Piacentini calòibro, the entry of Expert System, one of the most dynamic companies in the AIM segment of the Italian Stock Exchange
