Tim, Scott Jovane new chief commercial officer

From mid-April Pietro Scott Jovane will be the new one chief commercial officer of Telecom Italia. The company communicates it, adding that Scott Jovane will report directly to the CEO, Amos Genish, and will be responsible for developing the company's commercial strategy regarding the entire Consumer/Small Enterprise, Business/Top Clients and Multimedia Entertainment offer , with the aim of accelerating the convergence between content and distribution platforms. Pietro Scott Jovane will also report activities relating to positioning and brand development.

Previously, the note recalls, Scott Jovane gained experience in the media, technology and e-commerce fields by holding, among others, the role of group controller at Seat Pagine Gialle, CEO of Microsoft Italy, CEO of Rcs Mediagroup, and more recently CEO in ePRICE.

Scott Jovane's appointment comes at a delicate moment for Telecom Italia, while the Elliott Fund has declared war on Vivendi and aims to transform the company into a public company. In the background remains the story of the access network that Elliott would like to spin off and that the development minister Carlo Calenda welcomes. That of the Elliot fund for Telecom "is a project that coincides with what we intend to do for the public interest but it seems to me that Tim too was oriented in this direction". So declared Carlo Calenda, on the sidelines of the presentation of the GSE Report, to reporters who urged him to comment on the topic.
