Tim has a new CFO: Giovanni Ronca

Telecom Italia has a new CFO: Giovanni Ronca, who takes over from Piergiorgio Peluso. Tim herself announces it in a note, explaining that Ronca will report directly to the managing director, Luigi Gubitosi, and will assume the position from next June 17th.

From the same date, Peluso "will report directly to the CEO for the management of strategic projects and extraordinary operations of the group", reads Tim's note.

Until March 31 of this year, Ronca served as co-head of Unicredit's commercial banking business in Italy and as a member of the banking group's executive committee.

From 2014 to 2016 he was responsible for Unicredit activities for North and South America, based in New York. Previously, still in Unicredit, he held the position of head of the Corporate & Investment Banking network in Italy and regional head of Corporate Banking.

Ronca began his professional career in 1996 in Exor as a financial analyst, to then continue his career in the Fiat group, where he held various positions in the finance area in Italy and in the United States. From 2004 to 2007 he was part of the team dedicated to the relaunch of the group under the guidance of Sergio Marchionne.

Finally, Tim explains again, Ronca has a degree in Economics from the University of Turin and does not own Telecom Italia shares. ist Table
