In eight months, Tim covered over 3 municipalities with the ultrabroadband network Italians who will finally have access to fast internet. 

This was announced by the same company which, through a note, delivers a photograph of the diffusion of the fiber in our country.

In October, the company carried out wiring work in 283 Italian municipalities, providing an answer to the connectivity needs coming above all from the "white areas" of the country especially in a period in which, due to the pandemic, more and more people work in smart working or take advantage of distance learning.

"Tim will also continue to intensify its cabling programs in the coming months to bring fiber to 2020% of households using the fixed network by December 90, concentrating its efforts mainly in rural or low-density areas of the country", underlines the company led by Luigi Gubitosi.

Going into details, by the end of December the municipalities reached by ultra-broadband will rise to 5, with the aim of enabling approximately 75% of households residing in "white areas" who have an active fixed line to digital life. 

"To ensure ultra-broadband connections also to households that will not be reached by fiber optics, TIM confirms its commitment to ultra-broadband coverage thanks to the use of FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) technology which is based on a hybrid system of radio technology connections" , concludes the company.
