Third sector, liquidity arriving from Acri and Intesa Sanpaolo

Initiative Sollievo, the agreement signed by Acri and Intesa Sanpaolo to support third sector entities in the Covid-19 emergency which has already approved 4 million euros in a few weeks, expands the range of loans that will be able to access the revolving fund available to foundations of banking origin. Intesa Sanpaolo and Acri have thus responded to the appeals received in recent weeks from third sector organisations, which will thus be able to repay the credit obtained over a greater number of years.

The new loans – with a term of up to 60 months (with 12 for pre-amortisation) and 132 months (with 36 for pre-amortisation) – are added to the existing ones and are to be from a minimum of 10 thousand to a maximum of 100 thousand euros. Third sector organizations with legal and operational headquarters in Italy, active on 23 February 2020 and falling into the following categories can access the funding from the Relief Initiative: Onlus, Voluntary organizations and Social promotion associations registered in national and regional registers, Social cooperatives, social enterprises.

The initiative was achieved by putting the resources and skills of Intesa Sanpaolo and Acri in synergy to ensure support for the non-profit world, which risks finding itself in great difficulty due to its structural fragility from a financial point of view.

“In the coming months – commented the president of Acri Francesco Profumo – it will be crucial to support the third sector, which will continue to play a decisive role in the restart of our country. For this reason, listening to the territories and non-profit organizations, the Foundations of banking origin, in agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo, have decided to increase the resources made available for the Relief Initiative, so as to increase the financing opportunities dedicated to the Third sector".

“The initiative carried out with Acri – he added the CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Carlo Messina – immediately provided concrete support to the Third Sector which found itself in great difficulty due to the Covid-19 emergency. With the new credit lines we want to further improve this growth and revitalization tool for non-profit organizations, recognizing their vital role in our society".
