The earth continues to shake in Central Italy: seismic shocks registered between Lazio, Umbria and Marche are now more than 500, of which the last five during the night with maximum intensity 4.8.

The provisional budget is 268 dead (of which 207 in Amatrice, 49 in Arquata and 11 in Accumoli), 365 injured, various missing and 2.550 displaced.

The Prosecutor of Rieti has opened a file for the hypothesis of a crime of culpable disaster and aims to shed light on the collapses of many recently renovated buildings such as the Amatrice school and the Accumoli bell tower.

The relief efforts continue unabated and currently 7 units are on the field in the areas affected by the earthquake, between men and women, coming from all over Italy. In particular, a thousand units are operating between the State Police, Fire Brigade and Civil Protection, over 400 soldiers and 3 thousand volunteers from the three affected regions.

They are also present in earthquake-stricken areas hundreds of technicians from companies that provide services and scientific research centres (Ispra, Ingv, Enea, Cnr, Ministry of Infrastructure).

At the debut blue helmets of culture, a special unit of the Carabinieri which must monitor the artistic heritage, in particular that of Amatrice.

Among the various demonstrations of solidarity that have arrived in the last few hours there is also that of the metalworkers of Fim, Fiom and Uilm, who announced their intention to "donate an hour of work in solidarity, ensuring that these resources are allocated to reconstruction".

Poste Italiane announces that the Mobile Post Office in Visso in the province of Macerata is already operational, located right next to the original site, which is now unusable. Also scheduled for today the activation of a mobile post office in Amatrice, already set up in the tent city of the Lazio Region, and of the mobile offices in Accumoli and Norcia. From tomorrow the one in Arquata del Tronto will also start.

In the meantime, the company is working in close collaboration with the Civil Protection and other institutions to ensure the continuity of postal and financial services to the citizens of the affected municipalities. Poste Italiane's technicians are committed to verifying the efficiency of the structures and technologies in order to restore full functionality in a short time.
