Tenaris, profit grows to 1,42 billion in 2011

Also in the fourth quarter, the Italian-Argentine group recorded a sharp increase in profit to 426,3 million dollars compared to the same period last year.

The accounts of Tenaris fly. The group of the Rocca family ended 2011 with a 23% increase in sales compared to 2010. The figure reached i 9,972 billion dollars. Ebitda also grew to 2,449 billion and theprofit at 1,421 billion (+26% compared to 1,127 billion in 2010). 

The results are also good for the single quarter. In the last three months of 2011 Tenaris recorded a net profit of 426,3 million dollars (against 321,1 billion in 2010) and revenues of 2,75 billion (against 2,06 billion in 2010). 

The BoD will propose to the assembly the distribution of a annual dividend of $0,38 per share, inclusive of the $0,13 upfront. 

The forecasts for this year are optimistic: top management expect higher growth than that of 2011. 

At Piazza Affari the title earn, at the end of the morning, lo 0,51% at 15,77 euro.
