Telecom, yellow light on US shareholder clarified: but the stock starts off badly on the Stock Exchange

It is immediately yellow for the entry of Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) with a significant stake in the capital of Telecom Italia: the SEC, which received the communication yesterday, after having carried out checks with Consob on the correctness of the transaction, clarified that these are savings shares and not ordinary shares, for which the percentage communicated, of 5,7%, would therefore be correct.

The asset management company, in a filing with the American Consob dated February 7 and communicated yesterday, had in fact announced that it held 343,3 million Telecom ordinary shares (of which 293,12 million with voting rights), equal to 5,7 .343,3% of the telecommunications group. Percentage that, being ordinary shares, would have been wrong, since 2,56 million Telecom shares correspond to XNUMX% of the capital.

However, the operation is causing the Telecom Italia share to fall on the Stock Exchange: at the opening of the session it lost 1,35% a 0,8375 euro.
