Telco: Telecom board list tomorrow, Recchi in pole position for the presidency

Decisive meeting tomorrow at home telco. The board of directors of the holding which controls 22,4% of Telecom Italy will have to draw up the list of names to be proposed for the board of directors of the Italian company. The new team will have to be established by the next company meeting.

The names, for now, are top secret, although according to rumors there seems to be unanimity among the shareholders of Telco (Telefonica, Generali, Intesa Sanpaolo and Mediobanca), on Giuseppe Recchi, now president of Eni, who would become president of Telecom. Substantial agreement also on the current managing director, Marco Patuano, who would guarantee continuity in the management of the company.

He is also working on the list of names for the board Mark Fossati, shareholder of Telecom Italia with a 5% stake. It seems that the entrepreneur is waiting to know the list of names that Telco will propose to decide whether to go to confrontation and present an alternative majority list to that of the holding company, pushing for the name of Vito Gamberale to the presidency. The deadline for proposing the list of names is next Saturday.

Meanwhile, on the judicial side, the Gup of the Milan court Manuela Scudieri has indicted for 75 people, including 12 former Telecom Italia employees, and the same company, accused for the law 231/2001 on the administrative liability of entities. The trial on the affair of the fake SIMs, linked to the ethnic Telecom channel, will begin on May 29 before the judges of the eleventh criminal section of the Milan court.

At the beginning of the afternoon, the Telecom Italia stock on the Stock Exchange was up 1%.
