TAXES, model 770/2015: official extension to 21 September. Decree in the OJ in the next few days

TAXES – The Deputy Minister of the Economy Luigi Casero has formalized the extension to 21 September for the presentation of Model 770/2015. – In addition, the intention to launch a reorganization of the terms and times for the transmission of tax obligations has been announced.

It's official. The Government has decided to accept the numerous requests for extensions received in recent days and has decided to postpone the deadline for presentation of the 770 model on Monday 21 September. The withholding agents will therefore have an extra month to send the tax return to the Revenue Agency.

The official announcement came yesterday, during a question time in the Chamber of Deputies. The question of extension was raised at Deputy Minister of Economy Luigi Casero by the representative of Civic Choice Giulio Cesare Sottanelli. The MEF's number two responded by making the postponement official and explaining the related procedure.

Model 770/2015: extension
The Deputy Minister of Economy Luigi Casero reiterated the Government's intention to extend the deadline for the presentation of the 770 form from 31 July to 21 September 2015.

In addition to the month of extra time granted by the Executive, the summer break is added, which further postpones the deadline for broadcasting by 10 days. September 20 falls on a Sunday, so the official deadline for submitting the tax return will be September 21.

Finally, the Deputy Minister declared that, the relative Decree will be issued in the next few days of the President of the Council of Ministers (DPCM) which, once published in the Gazette, will officially ratify the extension of the ordinary and simplified 770 model, making it operational.

At the same juncture, Casero declared the Executive's intention to carry out an overall and permanent reorganization of the times relating to tax obligations, through a mechanism aimed at simplifying the terms, also preparing a automatic extension system in case of delays by the financial administration.

The Government has therefore decided to meet the merchants' requests who, in recent days, had requested extra time to carry out their duties, time necessary due to the numerous tax deadlines in the month of July.
