The Mediolanum Group specifies that the Irish company has already been the subject of an audit, which ruled out problems of tax residence in Italy, limiting itself to adjustments of an evaluation nature concluded in 2015 with a "settlement agreement and filing in criminal proceedings."

Mediolanum - continues the press release - "has already made contact with the competent authorities in order to provide all further clarifications that may be necessary for the closure of the matter".

At around 15:15 the shares dropped 3% to 6,80 euros, after gaining 1,1% in the previous five days.
