Starting next September uwe hochgeschurtz will take the lead of the German brand of Stellantis. The current number one of Renault Germany, Austria and Switzerland was appointed CEO of Opel, one of the great brands of the giant Peugeot and which Carlos Tavares (after buying it in 2017 from General Motors) brought to FCA last January, giving life to Stellantis, becoming its CEO. Hochgeschurtz will take the place of Michael lohscheller, who has decided to take on a new challenge outside the Group. The new CEO will be committed to expanding his business activities, including China, and entering the era of electric mobility.

Uwe Hochgeschurtz will join the Stellantis Top Executive Team and report directly to the Group CEO, Carlos Tavares. Uwe Hochgeschurtz is CEO of Renault Deutschland AG since June 2016. He studied business administration at the universities of Wuppertal and Cologne (Germany), Birmingham (UK), Paris Dauphine (France), majoring in business administration, and began his career at Ford in 1990. From 2001 to 2003, Hochgeschurtz was was responsible for marketing at Volkswagen and then landed a Renault in January 2004.
