Sony's 31/2012 financial year closed on March 2013, which was archived with a net profit of 43 billion yen (410 million euros) against the loss of 457 billion in the previous budget. This was communicated by the Japanese electronics giant itself, which expects further growth, around 16%, for the profit for the current year. According to the company, Sony's accounts will be driven by the weakness of the yen against the euro and the dollar and progress in the group's restructuring, as well as the sale of some assets.
The operating result of the Japanese company was positive for 230 billion yen, against the loss of 67,3 billion in the previous year, while the turnover grew by 4,7% to 6.800 billion yen, equal to 65 billion euros.
