Cassa Depositi e Prestiti made it known that Nicholas Bedin was nominated candidate for the position of Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Snam. The proposal will be presented to the company's Shareholders' Meeting, convened for 18 June 2020. The designation follows the recent resignation of the current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Luca Dal Fabbro.
The appointment will be proposed by Cdp Reti SpA (pursuant to article 126-bis, paragraph 1, penultimate sentence, of the Consolidated Law on Finance), a company controlled by CDP and direct shareholder of Snam with a shareholding equal to 31,038% of the share capital.
Bedin, a graduate in business administration from Bocconi University in Milan, he began his career in Mediobanca and was a non-executive director of Italgas, where he held the position of Chairman of the Sustainability Committee and member of the Control and Risks and Related-Party Transactions Committee. Manager and entrepreneur, he was, among other things, Chief Executive Officer of the San Donato Hospital Group, in which he led the rehabilitation and revitalization of the San Raffaele Hospital.
