Syria, the rebels abandon the stronghold of Qusayr

After three weeks of siege by Lebanese militiamen deployed alongside the army loyal to President Bashar al Assad, Syrian rebels have abandoned Qusayr, their stronghold in the province of Homs: in the decisive assault, according to the rebels, several hundred people were killed, including many civilians.

Qusayr, which has just returned to the official army, is a strategic point for the control of the center of the country, and consequently, of the whole of Syria, as also declared by General Yahya Sulayman, head of operations. Meanwhile, the presence of Hezbollah in the country is growing more and more.

Yesterday's declarations by the French government, which had announced that they had proof of the use of sarin gas by the Damascus government, today were echoed by those of the British government which, through a spokesman, confirmed the thesis according to which , according to the studies conducted on some physiological samples obtained in Syria, the regime would have made use of sarin gas.
