To increase the safety of motorists Quattroruote and Generali Italia have formed an alliance to test electronic driving assistance systems with the aim of creating a standard for the entire automotive industry

Road safety: Quattroruote and Generali Italia in partnership

Quattroruote together with Generali Italia are developing a series of tests to objectively and scientifically test the electronic driver assistance systems (ADAS, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with the ambition of establishing a standard for the entire automotive industry.

“Proactive safety and the awareness of road users to use the car more consciously have always been central issues for Generali Italia" commented Massimo Monacelli, Chief Property & Casualty and Claims Officer of Generali Italia, “Advanced Driver Assistance Systems they significantly improve safety and can contribute to the reduction of accidents and their severity, provided they work correctly. This partnership was born with the aim of expand the test cases and make them more responsive to the real situations that occur on the road, to better verify the effectiveness of the ADAS; it also allows us to place the analysis and experimentation activities of the Generali Innovation Center, a highly specialized and qualified research centre, at the service of policyholders and all motorists”. 

Generali Innovation Center is the center of excellence of Generali Italia which has been carrying out study, experimentation and research activities on new technologies, repair techniques and materials, safety systems for over ten years, both in the automotive and property sectors.
