Online school: 700 thousand have followed Tim's courses

Over 700 views during a total of seven weeks of programming which correspond to 6 minutes of live broadcasts and 18 hours of on-demand use, 33 days of live coverage with 3 different daily formats, 80 live streaming and thousands of social interactions. These are the numbers of the great success of 'Maestri d'Italia', the first major online school, free and interactive, conceived and curated by Riccardo Luna and promoted by TIM together with over 30 partners within the programme Digital Risorgimento Operation.

The successful goal was to bring digital culture into the homes of Italians through the testimonies of public figures and innovative training contents also dedicated to children. A large, useful, participatory and safe online school, on platforms that are easily accessible by everyone, with content also available on demand that made it possible to listen to teachers and experts, and to interact with them by asking questions and requests for clarification.

“TIM has been at the side of the Italians in this terrible emergency and will continue to do so also in the restart phase – he declared Salvatore Rossi, Chairman of TIM -. We have encouraged the diffusion of digital technologies, above all by guaranteeing and strengthening the voice and data transmission network, but also by providing various segments of the Italian population with lessons and dialogue on the theme of innovation. Thanks to TIM, businesses, families and students were able to take advantage of a school of excellence in digital skills, a real key to the country's development".

“Maestri d'Italia was an exciting experience – he commented Riccardo Luna, creator and curator of Maestri d'Italia – Operation Risorgimento Digitale -: for seven weeks we kept the kids company by teaching them the basics of coding and science and five digital skills courses for adults were all sold out. Furthermore, every day we hosted a great teacher who gave lessons to the students who are about to graduate. All online, in streaming, recording really important numbers. A confirmation that the Internet and its tools are fundamental. Awareness of the importance of having digital skills has now increased: for school, for work, for social life. Operation Risorgimento Digitale will start from here: from this new demand for the Internet”.
