Difficult day tomorrow for those who move with the public transport in Rome and Milan. In the two main Italian cities tomorrow there will be one transport strike which could cause great inconvenience to those who have to move during peak hours.
In detail, it transport strike in Milan on 28 April it was called by the Unitary Confederation of Base Transport (Cub Transport). Union agitation in Milan is scheduled from 8.45 to 15 and involves the traveling and operating staff of both the surface and the ATM Spa underground.
As regards instead public transport strike in Rome of tomorrow, will not involve Atac employees or those of the regional railways managed by FS. The transport strike in Rome, called by the Union of Basic Unions, will only cause the stop of the bus lines managed by Rome Tpl and services cotral from and to the province of Rieti. Specifically, tomorrow's strike could cause inconvenience and/or cancellations for the extra-urban Cotral buses that belong to the Rieti, Terzone and Amatrice plants from 8,30 to 17 and from 20 to the end of service.
Meanwhile, two very important pieces of news come from Atac on the progress of the children Metro C works. From the sitemovingaroma.it we learn of the opening of six new subway stations between the end of June and mid-July. These are the metro C stops "Mirti", "Gardenie", "Teano", "Malatesta", "Pigneto" and "Lodi". Meanwhile, on Thursday 30 April it will be possible to preview the six new stops of metro C on the occasion of an open day from 12,30 to 19,30.
With the opening of the new stops, it will be much easier to move towards the city center given that the stop in Piazza Lodi is located a few hundred meters away from the interchange for Metro A in Piazza San Giovanni. According to the latest Metro C spa schedule, the San Giovanni metro C stop (complete with the fundamental interchange with Metro A San Giovanni) will be completed in December of this year. Atac also informs that from today the metro C will be open from 5,30 to 23,30, time in which the last trips will be made from the Pantano and Centocelle terminus.
