Samsung beats Apple in Tokyo and threatens to block the iPhone 5

Yet another twist in the endless war between Samsung and Apple. The District Court of Tokyo today established that the Korean giant has never copied the products of the Cupertino company. In short, no patents infringed: iPhone and iPad have nothing to do with the Galaxy series smartphones and tablets. Thus ends the latest round of the all-out battle declared by Apple, which has launched numerous legal proceedings against Samsung on four continents.

Just a week ago, California justice had issued a diametrically opposite sentence, condemning the Asian giant to pay a maxi compensation of over one billion dollars.

Now we are one to one, but it's not over. Indeed, it seems that the game is about to enter a new phase. The object of contention is the product most awaited by telemaniacs around the world: the iPhone 5. Samsung has announced that it will sue Apple American if it will market a smartphone with "LTE" technology, the latest generation system for 4G connectivity.

The Koreans have over 10% of the patents connected to the "Long Term Evolution" in their pocket (another 18,9% is in the hands of Nokia), but it is now obvious that Apple will use innovation in its latest gem.

The fifth version of the iPhone should be presented on September 12 and arrive in US stores about ten days later. Not only that: the new iPad will also have 4G connection technology. The endless war between Seoul and Cupertino promises more sparks.
