Saipem flies to the stock market: the construction site in the Black Sea reopens

Saipem flies to the stock market: the construction site in the Black Sea reopens

Opening n sharp rise for the share on the Saipem Stock Exchange, which starts the week with an increase of more than 4% (to 12,74 euros), the best performance of the entire Ftse Mib.

The purchases of the shares of the plant engineering company of the Eni group took place after the official announcement was made on Friday evening with the markets closed the recovery "of operations for the construction of the offshore pipeline in the Black Sea“, which had been halted following Russia's cancellation of the South Stream project.

Now Gazprom is authorizing the release of the order, but with a (probable) variant: the 660 kilometers that will be built by Saipem on behalf of the Moscow giant will probably be used for the Turkish Stream, the gas pipeline that will carry gas to Turkey without passing through the Balkans (read Ukraine), designing a route that in the first section is superimposable on the one planned at the time for South Stream.

It then reopens a construction site worth 2,4 billion dollars and for the markets, this is what counts: from Saipem's point of view, in fact, whether it's working for South Stream or Turkish Stream makes no difference.
