After having participated in the guarantee syndicate which underwrote the non-opted share capital increase, the banks exit the capital of Saipem. The operation, which had already begun in recent days with limited sales so as not to affect the stock, was completed yesterday through an ABB on 6,3% operated by JP Morgan e Goldman Sachs.

The inopathic was 12,2% in all and the institutes – including Mediobanca, Unicredit e Imi Bank – they sold on the Stock Exchange after the share exceeded the subscription price of the increase (equal to 0,362 euro), thus realizing a small capital gain.

The only bank that has not yet sold its stake, equal to about 1,4%, is Imi Bank. In recent days the ad of Intesa Sanpaolo, Carlo Messina, had declared that the participation it would not be sold immediately

As a result of this transaction, Saipem's stock plummeted to Business Square, where at the opening of the session it immediately lost more than 7% to 0,395 euro per share.
