Saipem, 64 investors ask for compensation for 174 million

Saipem, as the company informs in a note, has received a writ of summons before the court of Milan by 64 investors, who are asking for compensation of approximately 174 million euros for damages they claim to have suffered by buying Saipem shares between February 13, 2012 and June 14, 2013.

Last April 9, in the financial report, Saipem had already indicated that there had been threats from shareholders and former shareholders of possible compensation actions for "alleged delays in communications to the market" by the company, which however had deemed the requests unfounded. Now the investors have turned to the Milan court.
