The economy of Russia keep on running. During 2012 GDP growth was 3,5% every year. This was announced by the prime minister himself, Dmitry Medvedev, who spoke today in Davos, where the opening day of the World Economic Forum is underway. 

"We must be ambitious in our goals - added Medvedev - and to achieve a growth of 5% per year we need an increase of about 10% in investments, at least for a few years".

As for internal politics, the number one in the Russian government has admitted that he could choose to run again for the presidency in 2018, but has ruled out that the electoral competition can take place against the current head of state, Vladimir Putin. 

"I think it's impossible - Medvedev explained - we belong to the same political force, what's the point of competing?".
