Building renovations: incentives also for household appliances

The Irpef discount of 50% foreseen for the purchase of furniture by the decree on building renovations and energy efficiency is extended to interlocking appliances. There remains a single maximum limit of 10 thousand euros for the deduction, but the appliance bonus will start on a deferred basis.

Tax deductions, at 50%, for personal income tax purposes are also granted for purchases of "fitted" appliances. This was established by an amendment approved by the Senate Industry and Finance committees.

Property owners who are carrying out or who will carry out property renovations by taking advantage of the decree on building renovations and energy efficiency, will be able to have the personal income tax discount of a maximum of 10.000 euros initially foreseen for the purchase of furniture, also to replace refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers .
However, "a class not lower than A+ (A for ovens) is required for equipment for which the energy label is required".

It should be remembered that the bonus of 10.000 euros aimed at furnishing buildings undergoing renovation is part of the overall ceiling of deductible expenditure of 96.000 euros provided for by the decree (costs always deductible to the extent of 50%).

The discount, however, will not start immediately. Although the rules are the same as those for the furniture bonus, the amendment - a parliamentary change to a decree - will only come into force after the measure is converted into law. It is possible that the law will be reformulated in the Chamber.
