Energy saving and sustainability: the winners of the Acea Group's "SiAMO energia" awards were awarded

Acea takes the field to make students aware of the issues of sustainability and saving energetic. These are the objectives of the project “We are energy! Turn off the light and turn on your imagination", the second digital edition of the "Acea Scuola" initiative which ended today, Monday 6 June, with the awarding of the following schools: the first prize went to the comprehensive school Tacitus Guareschi; the second to the inclusive Great Bear and the third atPincherle institute. Prizes will be awarded in vouchers which can be used to purchase technical material useful for teaching.

“Young people are the energy of the future. The boys and girls, through the videos they made, showed great sensitivity to the theme and considerable creativity. Education in the responsible use of resources is of fundamental importance in facing the challenge of the energy transition. A challenge that we must take up together with young people to further strengthen the culture of sustainability", declared Castelli.

“Thanks to initiatives like this we are able to raise young people's awareness of important issues and above all we try to make them reflect on how necessary it is to change the habits of our daily lives. Because even a small gesture can mean a lot for the environment”, added Gola.

Energy saving and sustainability: the Acea initiative

The initiative is part of the process that Acea launched in 2002 to promote information and training activities on environmental sustainability, an educational project designed to raise awareness among young people through a multimedia education: 3D films and educational tours this year told the challenges posed by the energy issue, such as the use of renewable sources or the need to reduce superfluous consumption in everyday life.

The schools participating in the project participated in a contest which saw the students engaged in the creation of video messages, lasting a maximum of 2 minutes with the aim of expressing a concept concerning energy and energy saving, also in consideration of the period experienced by the health emergency.
