The Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) convened an extraordinary meeting of its board of directors for Sunday 5 March to present an offer to purchase the network Tim. The offer will be launched early next week together with the Australian fund Macquarie.
On the other hand, the possibility of a joint offer between Cdp and kkr. After days of joint consultations and analyses, of which the mef has always been aware, Cdp has had to note that to date there are no conditions for a shared offer with the American fund which would risk running aground on the stakes of the European Antitrust.
So everyone goes their own way and next week Tim will find two alternative offers for the purchase of his network. The best will win, with an eye to the economic values of the two offers but also to the social repercussions and the defense of employment. We'll see, but perhaps the telenovela of the Tim Network has taken the final sprint.
