“We need to invest in tomorrow, we can't get out of the crisis without a major investment in growth”. Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said this during his speech at the Asia Europe Business Forum in Milan, specifying that "Europe should also aim for the same objective: the new EU leaders must not only be new names, but must also interpret this a new phase that is opening up, because either we all exit together or the crisis that is making a strong comeback on international markets will have no winners”.
Italy is “going through structural reforms – continued the Prime Minister -. In seven months we have set up a revolution in the labor market, we make it simpler, we have lowered taxes, 18 billion for businesses, we have put in place institutional reforms of the PA and civil justice to bring it to a performance in line with the most advanced". All this while “the global economy is growing less than it should and, even if there are very remarkable growth rates in Asia, there is a slowdown. And in Europe there are difficulties. We need to roll up our sleeves and work harder by investing in the future”.
