Qatar, Made in Italy at the fair in May

The first Made in Italy fair dedicated to interior/exterior design and street furniture will be held in Doha from 10 to 13 May

According to the almost unanimous forecasts made by various international institutions, 2012 will see a decline in the Italian GDP. This is mainly due to the austerity maneuvers launched in 2011 which will have a negative impact on domestic consumption. In this situation, it is necessary for Italian companies to find outlet markets to relaunch their turnover through exports.

The first Made in Italy fair scheduled from 10 to 13 May in Doha, Qatar, fits in this direction. The Qatari reality represents a stimulus for Italian entrepreneurs for two main reasons: first of all because it is a rapidly expanding economy with the highest per capita GDP in the world and also because there is the concrete possibility of recovering market lost during 2010 (-20% export Italy-Qatar).

Qatar, according to a study by Ernes&Young, appears to be among the "locomotive countries" in the world with a high flow of investments, especially in infrastructure, largely due to the assignment of the 2022 World Cup. Almost as big as Abruzzo , Qatar is recording very sustained GDP growth rates (about 10%) while keeping inflation under control.

The Fair organized by Doha Enterprise Company and assisted in Italy by SAB Communications, will see the patronage of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Italian-Arab Chamber of Commerce and the Qatari Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The exhibition, which will be held at the Doha Exhibition Center, will focus on exclusively Made in Italy products divided into 5 product sectors: interior design, lighting, interior technology, exterior design/urban furniture and noble building materials . The exhibition space will be organized in pre-fitted stands of 9 m18 and stands to be set up of 15.000 mXNUMX, in total an area of XNUMX mXNUMX will be covered.

In the intentions of the organizers, the fair will not only be an exhibition space through which to make known its products, but an opportunity for "business matching" through which to establish relationships with potential partners in the Gulf Cooperation Council area.
