Perfume on bank contract: "Complex negotiation"

The negotiation on the contractual renewal of the bankers "is very complex". And "the hope is that our sensitivity" in saying "we don't want to make a contract at no cost" will be accepted by the unions. And that these, "after this preliminary ruling", minimize the requests: "The more we have non-touchable institutions" that affect the dynamics of labor costs, "the more difficult it is to square the circle".

This was stated by the president of MPS and ABI delegate for the contractual renewal of the banks, Alessandro Profumo, in a hearing at the Senate Finance Commission. “The contract has expired – underlined Profumo – and we canceled it; o by 31 March the employment contract is terminated or disapplied with a period of relative turbulence to sign a contract on a different basis". The goal, according to Profumo, "is to have minimum labor costs" also because inflation, now very low, "was paid for sooner".

“We also want to give the contract a social soul; for this we will renew the youth employment fund. On the redundancy front, Profumo explained that up to now, with the agreements in force, “15 people have already left. In the next three years, if there were to be” a reduction in branches at the local level, there could be “a significant reduction of 20% in staff, but to date these numbers have no objective basis”.
