Foreigners rediscover Italy and the world of private equity goes shopping. During 2017, according to reports from the Milano Finanza Week, 24 operations were announced by foreign funds in Italy.

In the crosshairs of foreign private equity there are above all small and medium-sized Italian companies in a trend that already started last year (with 8,2 billion in value for foreign operations in Italy) but which this year is taking other steps after you. Moreover, in the last three years, foreign operators have invested 10,6 billion in equity in Italy.

Among the foreign funds the most active in Italy this year are Carlyle, led by Marco De Benedetti, and Ardian, led by Dominique Senequier, which have already carried out three operations each in just a few months. The target companies include, among others, Irca, Goldengoose, Twinset, Autovia Padana, Tre Solar, HISI. But we must not forget Eurovita and Limoni and La Gardenia.
