Private Equity, Finint Sgr launches a closed-end investment fund for SMEs

Support Italian SMEs in long-term growth paths and adequate post-Covid capitalisation. This is the objective of the new closed securities sector “Finint E4G” for Finint's private equity Investments Sgr. The Fund has already collected over 45 million euros, with a ten-year duration and an overall funding target of 120 million euro which is expected to be achieved over the next year.

In particular, the strategy of the new Fund envisages investing mainly in operations for the acquisition of majority shares of Italian SMEs (especially those in the North-East) belonging to the industrial goods sectors, especially Districts, services, healthcare, technology and food with a propensity for B2B and a strong focus on ESG issues.

Furthermore, companies belonging to market niches with high expected growth rates and a significant differentiation of products and services will be favoured, favoring those who show an aptitude for digitization and sustainability.

The “Finint E4G” Fund joins the range of Finint securities products dedicated to Private Capital together with those dedicated to NPLs e illiquid credits (Finint Principal Finance 1, Finint Principal Finance 1 and Fondo Efesto) et al Private Debt (SME Italy I, PMI Italy II and Trentino-Alto Adige Strategic Fund).

Driving Mauro Sbroggiò, Chief Executive Officer of Finint Sgr, supported by Vania Antonio Panizza as Managing Partner, with significant experience in the sector with 3i, HIG and Muzinich and who will join the team starting from September, and by Cristiano Menegus as Partner.

“The launch of the “Finint E4G” Fund fits into an economic framework in which the business world is still affected by the effects of Covid-19 pandemic – said Mauro Sbroggiò, Chief Executive Officer of Finint Investments Sgr -. In this context, the Fund's investments aim to promote long-term growth processes to create sector excellence with a competitive advantage and growth potential, through balanced choices, adequate capitalization and with limited recourse to leverage and complex financial structures."

“For Finint SGR – added Mauro Sbroggiò – the launch of the Finint E4G fund marks another important milestone in the creation of a range of products dedicated to Private Capital andreal economy. The success achieved in recent years in the private debt and illiquid credit asset class allows us to look to the future with the awareness of being able to count on a dynamic and efficient structure able to face the challenges of the post-pandemic and guarantee our investors adequate risk-return ratio".
