The mayor of Milano, Giuliano Pisapia, he will not run for mayor again in the 2016 municipal elections. It was Pisapia himself who anticipated it today, arguing that his choice of him "is not dictated by tiredness but by consistency", because he has always believed that politics was a service and not a job that never ends.
Sel asked him to reconsider but Pisapia is unlikely to change his mind. According to the right, at the origin of Pisapia's move there would be underground disagreements with the Democratic Party.
The new centre-left candidate for mayor will be chosen, at the time, by the primaries, as Pisapia himself has suggested.
