From Saturday 23 May, Pirelli HangarBicocca will reopen its doors to its public after the closure of the exhibition spaces due to the health emergency. Visitors will then have the opportunity to re-admire the exhibition in the space of the Navate “….the Illuminating Gas” di Cerith Wyn Evans (Llanelli, Wales, United Kingdom, 1958) and in the space of the Shed "the eye, the eye and the ear" by Trisha Baga (Venice, Florida, 1985). Besides, of course, the permanent installation of de The Seven Heavenly Palaces 2004-2015 di Anselm Kiefer (Donaueschingen, Germany, 1945).
In implementing the necessary health requirements, the Pirelli HangarBicocca team managed to preserve the integral usability of the works: the large spaces of the structure, which extends with a horizontal development of 15 square meters, lend themselves well to maintaining social distancing social security, thus guaranteeing the highest safety standards. Entrances will be limited in quantity and frequency and separated for entry and exit to avoid gatherings, but online booking will not be necessary. The spaces in via Chiese in Milan will be accessible during the weekend, every Saturday and Sunday from 10,30 to 20,30, until a date to be determined (when the usual opening days from Thursday to Sunday will be restored). By reinforcing the commitment to making art open and accessible, especially in this critical moment, Pirelli HangarBicocca continues to guarantee the free entry both at exhibitions and at permanent work.
To offer the public the opportunity to visit in the best times and ways, Trisha Baga's exhibition has been extended until January 10, 2021, with the consequent opening of Neïl Beloufa's exhibition next February 2021.
