The new “Bubbles” digital project is online, which sees the Pirelli HangarBicocca website transformed into a map of dynamic and continuously updated content that revolves around art and artists.
The project "Bubbles”, now online, is a digital environment designed to explore the universe of contemporary art and to find, through a smooth browsing experience, the wide content production created by Pirelli HangarBicocca around exhibitions and cultural events. In fact, the new website not only offers the opportunity to complete or prepare a visit to the exhibition spaces, but also intends to be an autonomous context, an independent and effective tool for anyone wishing to stay updated on the topics of contemporary creativity: from enthusiasts to students, from researchers to curious users.
The navigation is structured to meet five different types of "Bubbles", real“bubbles” of textual, video and audio material that offer different categories of experiences. Through the Bubbles Watch, Read, Lists, Connect ed experience it is possible to address a multitude of topics and themes through videos or extracts from articles and catalogues, explore the exhibitions of Pirelli Hangar Bicocca from a different perspective, listen to artists' music playlists, connect to side projects and even participate in real-time streaming events. With a accessible and direct search mode, the new website aims to facilitate the use and retrieval of information and to make consultation of archival materials, access to in-depth topics and participation in digital initiatives more immediate. Il new design returns a dimension characterized by the fluidity of lines, by ductile and rounded strokes, by a graphic representation composed of shadows, blurring, soft shapes and superimposed planes that follows a variable, open digital space with ephemeral boundaries, an environment in which to fluctuate between “Bubbles”, staying on the surface or diving deep. The profile of the former industrial building of Pirelli HangarBicocca opens the site, rendered with a slight sloping line, which indicates the presence of a new hub and the possibility of gaining both real experience, in the physical spaces of Via Chiese in Milan, and digital web.
The project "Bubbles” was conceived and developed with the aim of enriching the ways of disseminating contemporary art. By sharing quality content, Pirelli HangarsBicocca intends to expand the institution's cultural offer by making it available to the public, in line with its mission which has been represented and communicated with the hashtag for years #ArtToThePeople.
