Pirelli: Giorgio Luca Bruno appointed deputy CEO

The shareholders' meeting of Pirelli, which met in ordinary session, gave the green light for the 2020 budget, closed with a profit of the parent company of 44 million euros, et al dividend on last year's earnings of €0,08 per share, for total dividends of €80 million. The coupon will be detached on 21 June 2021 with the record date set for 22 June. 

According to the company's announcement, 84,39% of the share capital with voting rights was present at the meeting. The shareholders confirmed the number of members of the board of directors, which therefore remains 15 members, and on the proposal of the same board they appointed Giorgio Luca Bruno as new director. 

At the end of the meeting, the board of directors of Pirelli met which, in line with what was anticipated to the market and having verified that the new director possesses the requisites required to hold the position, appointed Giorgio Luca Bruno deputy CEO. The manager will take care of the operational management of Pirelli, to be exercised in vicarious form, and will report directly to the executive vice president and CEO, Marco Tronchetti Provera, with the consequent overcoming of the general management co-CEO, whose responsibility had been entrusted ad interim to Tronchetti Prove from the date of termination of employment with Angelos Papadimitriou. 

The assembly appointed the board of statutory auditors for the financial years 2021-2022-2023, which is composed as follows: Riccardo Foglia Taverna, appointed chairman, Alberto Villani, Teresa Cristiana Naddeo, Antonella Carù and Francesca Meneghel as standing auditors.
