The Piaggio Group with Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF), a Boston-based company which represents the group's research center on future mobility, took part in the World Frontiers Forum which is taking place in Cambridge and at Harvard University (1- 3 October), the only Italian company present at the debate.

Founded by Dennis Ausiello (Harvard Medical School/MGH), David Edwards (Harvard, ArtScience) and Robert Langer (MIT), the World Frontiers Forum is an annual event that brings together important international groups and societies, as well as the academic world and cultural institutions, which are characterized by a pioneering vision and proposals that can improve the future of the world.

The Forum, which this year hosts 150 participants from all over the world, aims to bring out, share and encourage new and innovative ideas that in the future will be able to increase well-being and quality of life in an increasingly "diverse" world. frontier”, which requires an adaptation of behaviors and ways of thinking and acting.

Piaggio Fast Forward is called upon to represent the transport and mobility sector. Today the CEO of Piaggio Fast Forward, Jeffrey Schnapp, will speak, bringing the experience of GITA, the first PFF robotics project presented last February in Boston, an intelligent vehicle capable of moving independently, designed to improve mobility of things and people in increasingly complex urban developments.

Numerous personalities will intervene. We note the contribution of Fabrizio Hochschild (Assistant Secretary General at the United Nations) on the future of global issues such as the economic balance between the population, employment and climate change, and the discussion between Robert Langer (MIT professor, engineer, scientist and chemist) and David Edwards on Langer's pioneering work in bioengineering and its developments and applications for global health care.

Piaggio Fast Forward participates in the World Frontiers Forum supported by important companies operating in biomedical research, art, cultural promotion, but also in finance, including Verily (company of the Alphabet group), Paul G.
